Fediola van de Römer was born in 1991 at mr. Janssen (meanwhile deceased) in Venlo.She is a combination of the great breeders Balade van de Römer and Simone van de Koxkampen. Through the years, Fediola has moved a few times between North and South. But now she is back for a long time in Kwadijk.
Fediola will always stay the 'Southie' in the stable and does not fit in the group of older mares. She is the one that is fed the last within the group and that's why she always get's a little more than the rest. And although she is not so young anymore, she is still very strong.
In her examination career she did splendidly. Always first premium, and excellent performances on the Limburgse youth championship, several regional championships, the Millenniumchampionsship three year and older mares, and several first ranks on demonstrations.
Besides that she has had an important role in our breeding program as well. The only downside for her owners is that she delivers a lot of stallion foals! In her part of the country, Limburg in the South of Holland, her daughter Mon Amour van de Römer (v. Fortissimo) is born. And this mare, as a yearling, was exported to Sweden. After that, there was the mare No Noire van de Amstelhof (v. Friso) and this premium mare was sold as a foal to Land van Maas en Waal, where she has a prosperous breeding career at the moment.
After that, first premium stallion Olivier van de Amstelhof (v. Friso) followed and this one is still used in our own breeding herd. After that, two stallion foals of On the Rocks of Marshwood followed, but this combination didn't work out as good as we expected. In the end it brought us a mare, named Trinity van de Amstelhof. This daughter is sold while young of age to the brothers Van Doorn and now she has a second premium. In 2004 en 2005 Fediola has delivered two stallion foals from Friso, which we took to the stallion examination but didn't bring an approval. Then it was time for another combination with Fediola and that became Skerry van Geldersoord. From this pair came Zimone who was born in 2006. This mare was exported to Sweden in a time that we had to size down our efforts. Meanwhile she finalized a test with 42 points! Inmiddels heeft ze daar een test afgelegd met 42 punten! In 2007 another daughter was born, this time with Gresini van de Veldhoeve as a father. This Adelinde is the spitting image of her mother, with those long curly manes. In 2008 Fediola was gust and therefore she was put to Mahogny, with Victoria. Well, we thought that he wasn't up to something yet, but it came out different. This because Fediola will bring the first Mahogny foal on march 1, 2009! We have high expectations of this combination and hope for a great mare foal.
Although Fediola is a little older now, she still is in great shape. And apart from that, she is a great mate for Mahogny, as he doesn't seem to eat, drink or sleep without her. So besides that she has been a great show horse and very good breeding bare she now is a super mate for our Sweed in the green. In december 2008 she will be in Haaksbergen in the rearing and probably she'll be at the premium examination in january!

Fediola still is in prime condition and will bare the first foal of Almanas Mahogny around march 1st, 2009.
